International partnerships have been part and parcel of Pangasinan State University’s vision for globalization and diversity. Thus on March 15, it welcomed delegates from the Thu Duc College of Technology from Vietnam.

University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas said the visit is part of improving the curricula of PSU’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) where the experts from Vietnam are set to speak on the adoption of the Conceiving-Designing-Implementing -Operating (CDIO) framework.

Ms. Phan Thi The, vice-dean of the Information Technology Department and Mr. Nguyen Huy Huang, head of the Software Engineering Department of Thu Duc College were welcomed by President Galas and the five Vice Presidents of PSU – Dr. Dexter R. Buted (former University President) for Administration and Linkages, Dr. Maria Corazon B. Puzon for Planning and Finance Management , Dr. Manolito C. Manuel for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Marcelo C. Gutierrez, Jr. for Quality Assurance and Dr. Razeale G. Resultay for Research. Extension Innovation and GAD.

It can be remembered that Dr. Gutierrez and Dr. Resultay led the PSU delegation to Vietnam late last year for academic collaboration which includes this stint for CDIO conference in Pangasinan.

The Vietnam group was also welcomed by the Director for International Linkages Dr. Sally Jarin along with executive directors and university officials.

After a tour of PSU, the delegates visited the Provincial Capitol where they were met by Provincial Administrator Melicio Patague II, representing Governor Ramon Guico III.
