Vice President for Research Extension, and Innovation Dr. Paulo V. Cenas along with selected officials under his office scheduled an appointment with the Provincial Planning and Development Officer Ms. Benita Pizzaro last November 10, 2020 to proffer the university’s ongoing research projects. 

Said officials took this opportunity to gather recommendations from Ms. Pizzaro as they put forward their research on the potentials of the ongoing Moringga, bioethanol production from Nipa palms and salt industry enhancement. 

Amidst the Covid-19, Pangasinan State University is persistent in investing on scientific research with Pangasinan’s prolific natural resources. In the hope of their success, the office aims to enrich the agriculture and salt industry of the province to help improve the quality of life of Pangasinenses.

In a globalized world, the role of research in an academic institution is significant for its sustainability and development, and it is imperative to have knowledge-driven growth based on innovation. The quest for knowledge is the basic principle behind research. This is the ultimate pursuit of the Research, Extension and Innovation department of Pangasinan State University headed by Dr. Paulo V. Cenas.  

The promotion of research in a huge and diverse province like Pangasinan will help evolve as a knowledge reservoir in and out of the country. (PSU Echoes, Vol XX No.2).
