The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management of Pangasinan State University- Lingayen Campus spearheaded a seminar on international internship training opportunities held at the Audiovisual Room on February 17.
The seminar-presentation highlighted career opportunities and international internship programs gained from the presentation provided by the invited agencies such as the Ediphi and First Place Inc.

The seminar was open to all students of different colleges in Pangasinan State University campuses specifically students of Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) programs.

The Campus Executive Director of PSU-Lingayen Dr. Renato Salcedo, welcomed the visitors from the two agencies as he emphasized that such initiative in the conduct of internship seminar also aimed to provide the academe with the trends on competencies and skills needed by the industries in producing competent graduates.

“We need inputs from the industry experts in crafting curriculum. These are essential for us to meet the needs of the industry. That is why we invite them during summit and industry immersion. We need to have a strong industry-driven curriculum that meets the need of the hospitality and tourism management industries,” Dr. Salcedo added.

Meanwhile, faculty members of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management PSU-Lingayen Campus led by their College Dean Dr. Victor T. Bernal accommodated the delegates of Ediphi Agency led by Ms. Alison Aquino and Mr. Jericho Bautista, Business Development Manager of First Place Inc.

PSU, led by University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, continuously attunes to innovation by producing competent graduates needed by the national and global industries.
