The Office of the Vice-President for Academic and Students Affairs (OVPASA) held its first quarter University Academic Council meeting on February 13.
The meeting was attended virtually through the ZOOM platform by the nine PSU campus executive directors including the executive directors of the School of Advanced Studies (SAS) and Open University System (OUS) university directors, college deans and chairpersons.
University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas commended everyone for the fruitful dialogues which are imperative for the success of the academic council meeting.
Vice-President for ASA Dr. Manolito Manuel led the physical attendance at the holding area of the Don Telesforo N. Boquiren Convention Hall – PSU Lingayen Campus, along with the Directors of the OVPASA Division, unit heads and coordinators.
The agenda discussed in the meeting include the confirmation of the number of graduating students for the first semester (SY 2022 – 2023), a visit of the Learning Continuity Plan (LPC), the approval and finalizing of concepts on the Student Teaching Research Assistantship and Development (STRAnD) and the revised guidelines on financial assistance for marginalized students programs.
Also, a talk on the new Host Training Establishments (HTEs), collaboration between UNILAB Company and PSU, and renewal on existing MOA between PSU and the Department of Education were tackled.
