Pangasinan State University welcomes the first university-visitor for the year 2023 as it continues to showcase its best practices in the field of research, extension and innovation.
The seven delegates from the Bulacan State University (BulSU) were warmly welcomed in the ‘Meeting of Minds’ held at the Research Conference Room of PSU Main Campus on January 10.
Bolstering participatory discussions vis-a vis the sharing of information and best practices under the Research, Extension, InnovatIon and Gender and Development (REIGN) Department, the Director for Innovation Support Dr. Catalina C. Platon and the Director for Research and Development Dr. Larry A. Santos, thoroughly highlighted important factors in their presentation.
Other PSU officials and staff including Dr. Romary R. Lincod, Dr. Gilbert Moralista, Mr. Frederick Lalimarmo, Ms. Arlene Kon-ek, Mr. Bobby Roaring also shared their insights and first-hand experiences in the field of research and extension.
Questions during the open forum centered on research-based extension, external funding, de-loading for program leaders, study project program, research publication, individual performance commitment review, Reserved Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and the National Service Training Program (NSTP).
In response, the BulSU delegation led by Director Armele Mangaran commended PSU for the helpful suggestions imparted to them as they build up a better Research, Extension, and Innovation Services Unit in Bulacan.
Before leaving Pangasinan, the delegates toured the various facilities and buildings of PSU including the newly-constructed Golden Lion Hotel.
PSU, headed by University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, continues to strengthen its capability in Research, Extension and Innovation to ensure that results are utilized for community development, strong research culture and technology transfer that will benefit the public.
