PSU Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Coordinators from nine campuses attended the 3-day International Conference in the spirit of collaboration in the Asia Pacific Region on November 1820, 2021 

The Asia Pacific Student Services Association (APSSA) and the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services (PASPAS), Inc. hosted the 17th APSSA International Conference, which coincided with the 26th PASPAS National Convention and the 13th Interactive Youth Forum, virtually via zoom. The theme was “Student Affairs and Services Forging Ahead: Virtual, Virtuous, and Victorious.”

906 delegates attended the conference and was welcomed Ms. Angela Pok, APSSA President and Dr. Leandro Loyola, PASPAS, Inc. Following that, the Keynote Speaker, Dr. Jonathan Munro, spoke about the theme of proactive service delivery by student affairs despite severe constraints. The Digital Natives: Leading and Thriving in the New Normal was discussed by Atty. Myrish Cadapan Antonio. 

Ms. Lisa Chiang, Dr. Shiokawa Masami, Mr. Rodolfo Virtus, and Dr. Yee Han Kuan were among the speakers on a panel on Championing Students Welfare and Development Towards a Stable Student Affairs and Services.

The deliberation of group outputs and sharing of SAS Coordinators’ learning experiences of the virtual delivery of SAS took place on the final day of the three-day conference.

With this conference, Student Service Coordinators of PSU are now more equipped to carry out their duties and responsibilities to the students and to the institution.
